Once again, Altenew comes through with another great layering set in the Craft-A-Flower series - the Butterfly Bush. Vivid colors, of course, tend to attract butterflies, and in researching this particular flower, I thought the dark pink/magenta blooms were pretty spectacular.
For the background, I used the Deco Wallpaper stencil, with a couple of different Nuvo pastes (a glacier paste and a blue paste) to give it a little variation. The panel is 4 by 5 1/4 inches. The bush and the leaves were done in my usual method - coloring watercolor paper using powdered water colors (Nuvo Shimmer Powder, Brusho, etc.) to create the colors I was wanting. I used the darker shades for the first layer, lighter for the 2nd and 3rd layers. The opposite (lighter to darker) was used with the green leaves. The butterfly (which is a single layer) uses the same kind of pre-colored watercolor paper. I simply enhanced the embossed lines and added a few dots with a fine tip black pen. The sentiment comes from the Belladonna Lily stamp set. I used a turquoise ink to stamp the "Hello" and then applied clear embossing powder to make it shine. the "you are the best!" is just white heat embossed on the same color paper that I used for the card base. There is a fair amount of dimension here, because each floral cluster is 3 layers thick, so the top cluster is mounted with additional card stock behind it, and the butterfly is mounted with dimensional double-sided sticky dots. Nothing too complex here, but I do like the colors, the shimmer and the dimension.

Amazing card. The flower and butterfly really pop.
Love how you created the gorgeous colors of the butterfly bush!
Great project share. Nice combination of sets.
Your card is stunning. Truly. The colors and dimension of the flowers...gorgeous! TFS!
WOW, your flowers are just gorgeous. And I noticed that it should be easy to piece the flowers together...That is important.
