There's something about leaf stamps and dies that I find simply irresistible. So it's no wonder that the Leaf Mix and Tropical Leaf Mix dies were a "must have" for my stash! I have probably used these dies more than anything else in my collection.
No matter the season, these dies are great focal points and embellishments for cards for any occasion. For this card, I made the background using the new Host 3D embossing folder on white 80 pound card stock, and then did a little ink blending with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. I create leaves with water color paper that I have applied various kinds of powdered water colors (such as Brusho, Nuvo Shimmer Powder, etc.) to which gives some nice variation in color and intensity. And of course, there's always metallic card stocks that "jazz" things up a bit!! The "thanks" sentiment uses the Bold Thanks die set. The shadow is from gold mirror card stock and the letters are from a dark, forest green card stock. And the whole panel is mounted on a gold card base. Simple, yet elegant!

The leaves are a gorgeous touch and of course the gold cardstock is lush!
Just lovely, Susan!
I really like the die cut leaves--they are modern and cool. Sharon Gullikson
