The spectacular floral images in this stamp set are really stunning and quite fun to create using the coordinating stencils.
This design is pretty straightforward. I simply stamped the image and colored it in the images using the coordinating stencils - LOVE using these stencils because my coloring techniques still need some work and the stencils give such a nice dimensional look using light to dark shades of the colors. The background was colored in with some light blue watercolors, but using a bit more color on the left side of the flowers to make it appear shaded and give it some depth. I used some pink glitter Washi on the edge of the angled piece and added the dark gray and white striped paper to the upper left. I really like the fancy word dies from Altenew and think they look especially stunning using holographic card stock, so the "hugs" was done by using a black piece that is slightly offset from the holographic die cut. A few pink Starform glittery dots are scattered here and there, and a few Nuvo Dew Drops are added to the floral elements. All of this is mounted onto a pink textured card base. This is actually the card I will be sending to my sister for her birthday this year (which is only a few days away - better get on it)!
